Out of nowhere a random 65 minute podcast with Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong has dropped. The conversation features Mike and Emily, recorded about "a few weeks" before the big September 5th reveal announcing Linkin Parks comeback. Topics include how they first started working together, how Emily was asked to officially become a member, the recording and writing of From Zero and plenty of other exciting topics. What do you think of the episode? Come and discuss in our forums.
The amount of hype around "Casualty" is unreal. I cannot wait to hear what it sounds like. Also sounds like there will be a lot of content for future LPU releases Also Dave as "band dad" yes
That was so good. So many bits about the band chemistry, how they experienced the whole process on a personal level, and even stuff regarding the album. Casualty and Overflow are being hyped so much ^^ Between the fact they seem to have had such a big momentum in studio, and the fact they've been so specific with the final selection of the album songs - definitely seems like a few more songs were completed during those sessions - I'm getting more and more excited by the day about "From Zero".
That was great! So many little drops of perspective on the process of the album and how they felt during this time. The hype for Casualty couldn't get any higher. Really love the fact that it was recorded way before the countdown thing. Mike sounds so hyped and confident!
Diverse. Futuristic. We're so back. Love how Mike said he's 100 % sure of what they're doing. And if he were 99 % sure, he would have felt weird. Not honest.
Love how the two of them were just throwing demo track names out left and right. Shame this didn't come out closer to the comeback show, it could've helped humanize Emily for all the haters.
