An Air France plane carrying 228 people from Brazil to France has vanished over the Atlantic after a possible lightning strike, airline officials say. That's just the news I wanted 24 hours before I take a flight over the atlantic.
I'm sure I'll be fine. I'm flying to San Francisco which is at least a thousand miles north-west of where this all happened. It's just so weird that this plane has literally dissappeared. Even if it landed in the sea you'd expect it to still be picked up on radar.
I don't think we'll ever know what happened to the plane. With the discovery of debris, it's unlikely that anyone survived whatever happened though. I was talking to a friend of mine that's doing aeronautical engineering today and we came to the conclusion that the plane probably came apart in the air due to the dispersion of debris but couldn't decide if they lost radio contact before this, or because of this.
That plane was exploded during the flight. The lack of information surrounding the sudden disappearance speaks volumes to support it.
