Tonight at the Summer Sanitarium event in Chicago, Illinois; limpbizkit fans were treated to a very unfair display of emotions by Mr. Durst. Like any other night, the set started off with limpbizkit blazing their way through a energy packed show with a few songs from their upcoming fourth album. However; to many a fans' surprize things soon became ugly. For reasons still unknown Fred Durst became increasingly agitated with the fans, throwing a cursing fit towards the crowd, and tossing the microphone down as he stormed off the stage, bringing his bandmates along with him. Becoming clear that this was not just a stunt to get the fans riled up, as minutes passed without any sign of Fred Durst the fans soon became angry and impatient, thier emotions showing that a riot was in the making. Although suffering from a hernia Chester and his band mates ran out on stage to play another set for a bunch of angry concert goers. After a few songs passed the overall mood started to rise and what could of became a disaster turned into a energy filled night, thanks to Linkin Park. Fred Durst has not commented on his actions and it is not clear as to whether an explanation will be provided by his band anytime soon. Source: 94 WYSP Radio
Krap! i was gonna go to this show, but the tickets were sold out when i called ticketmaster... I coulda got DOUBLE Linkin Park!!!!! I am such an idiot.
Poor Fred. You know, people are so mean, I bet he just couldn't take it anymore. I feel you, Fred. And thanks LP for giving back to them fans like always.
If I was Durst, I probably would have done the same thing. Just because you don't care for a band doesn't mean you need to throw trash at them while they're trying to play. Think how the limpbizkit fans felt? I bet that sucked for them.
I just read the article and I can't believe those people threw trash at them. Come on, show some respect. I don't really like Limp Bizkit anymore but if I was there, I definitely would not have booed or even thrown stuff at them. I now feel bad for Fred.
that is just down right wrong..i cant believe some people can be soo direspectful..i hope that doesnt happen when i go on saturday..
from that link up top lol thats funny, i really dont like LB but thrwoin trash at them?? naw i wouldnt do that, maybe verbally bash them but not throw crap! come on ppl!! well ne way Good Job lb for giving ur fans a not so good show and for giving everyone extra time with LP!! lol
COMPLETE BULLSHIT! I was there, front row on the right of the stage on the guardrail ten feet away from the bands. LINKIN PARK DID NOT COME OUT AND PLAY ANOTHER SET. Fred acted like a baby, left the stage, and we waited over an hour and a half for Metallica. This is what happened: Linkin Park came on after the Deftones. Before they came out people were throwing lemons on the stage and tossing empty bottles in the air at each other. I was there, front row, on the ####### bar. It was amazing. Mike came over to our side and said that our side was ######'' crazy. They killed it. Chester called out to these two chicks who were fighting over some guy on the otherside. He was all, "There is nothing more unlady-like then two girls fighting", and then he threw water at them. His hair was brown this time. This is what I have to say about Limp: If a whole venue is booing you, you did some #### wrong. The Deftones got booed, and they didn't say ####. Chino came down and sang into the crowd. It didn't phase them one bit. During Linkin Park's set, people were throwing Lemons and bottles on stage in the beginning and the guys ####### rocked the stage and towards the middle the #### stopped. That was more about relieving stress though, because what I hear, the middle of the pit was pretty hot, and there was a semi-big gap between Deftones and LP, so people were getting restless. But Linkin Park got a huge applause at the end. Everytime a band mentioned Limp Bizkit, the crowd booed. This happened all day before Limp came out. Fred came out with a shitty atitude. If he would have ingnored the people booing and rocked for his fans (the few that were there) it would have been all good. But he chose to talk ####, which made him look like a loser and people were like, "Ok, enough already, just play your #### and let's get Metallica out here." So that made MORE people boo. Then he mentions Britney Spears and Mancow and it just started to feel like a bad talent show. The people that weren't booing were wondering like, "What the #### do we care about Britney or Mancow? PLAY OR GO!" They left, and we waited for Metallica. Metal from the gods. These guys played like they were ####### 26 year olds. They killed it in every way. They were asking if we liked Mudvayne, Deftones, Linkin Park, and Limp. When they got to Limp it sounded like the whole venue collectivly booed. And James smiles and goes, "Hey. That's your choice!" Again, I love LP, they were AMAZING (as always), earned a lot of respect and the second loudest screams of the night, BUT THEY DID NOT COME ON AGAIN AFTER LIMP!
i was just about to say. no where in the article does it say that linkin park came out to perform when LB left the stage.
Very interesting. Either way, some people can only handle so much and I guess Fred just couldn't take it. I really hope people don't behave this way at the SF show. Hey Michelle, is that you?
I'm glad not everyone here is a freaking idiot. I was shocked to see the biased and very anti-Limp Bizkit themed post in the news on this site. Damn. I'm in shock. I'm not in shock because Fred stormed off stage, I'm in shock that everyone is blaming him. I was expecting something a little less biased and more intelligent from people at this website. "Yay, Linkin Park saved the day! Fred is such an a--hole!!" Are you serious??. It was because of the childish and disgusting actions from the audience that Fred was forced to walk off stage. "For reasons unknown". God, who the hell wrote this? You answer your own question all over the post. But there is another reason, both Fred and Mike have already commented on it. Not only was the crowd screaming and throwing things at Limp Bizkit, but a knife was thrown and a broken beer bottle was hurled at Bizkit's new guitarist Mike and he was cut deeply. Yeah, Fred is such an a--hole huh? I really hope someone feels me
Yeah, posts like these are so mean, SketchaMPM. [/sarcasm] Not everyone is posting like that in here as you can clearly see. Lots of us in here feel Fred, like me.

I would be pissed too, I would have thrown it back at the person who threw it. Well, Summer Sanitarium tour is not coming to AZ, so I shouldn't see some thing like that happen on stage.
