hmmmm. Just looking at the thread title has turned me off there new album completely. You Could Have.... was great but more dance is a no from me.
Basically doing what a lot of people are doing lately? Hope they'll do it descently and then maybe I'll like one of the singles they put out. Never been a huge fan anyway.
I can't think of many bands that have made that transition. Plus, as a band that helped establish indie/post-punk/whatever as a popular genre it's probably fair to say they have as much of a right as anyone to change style, because it's at the same stage now that nu-metal was in in 2002. I like Alex Kapranos. Someone who can define pop music properly.
