They did it to prove you can be successful in the business without swearing on their records. They never once said it was a personal reflection on themselves. Proof is in the live shows where Chester, among the rest of the band, swears like sailors. Also, they swore in the Pankake Festival DVD. They really never put themself on a pedistal by saying they didn't do it, period. They also didn't come off as pretentious asses about it either writing disclaimers about lyrical content.

I don't see why anyone would complain about someone who doesn't like swearing. I don't like profanity and sometimes I find myself cussing sometimes.

My problem with it is that he made it sound like he's better than everyone else for not doing it.

Good remix!!! I like it a lot. But nothing beats the BBB remix of Where'd You Go.

This remix isn't too bad but it feels like the instrumental drowns out the vocals at some points...

Wait...Adam Young made something that sounds good? Whoa...

My understanding was that LP kept the language in their first few releases clean because they felt it would alienate the kids who wouldn't be able to buy the album with a PA sticker on it. Then they probably realized that the only countries that even cares are the U.S. and Australia. Besides, I've only seen Walmart try to card for a PA sticker, and that was years ago. I don't think they even sell PA stuff anymore.

Was thinking that as well. I think the vocals should've been a bit louder. It's a good remix but it didn't wow me.

    Meh. I don't like it.

And regarding Adam Young's self-righteous disclaimer about the profanity: Fuck you, you fuckin twat!

You people are exaggerating the living fuck out of his "no swearing diatribe". Holy hell, get it together.

    Anyway, song was pretty boring.

I don't get that at all. I just think he has a very particular connection with his own fanbase that know him for that particular clean style and he felt that he owed it to them to explain his involvement in this song. That's all it was.

Adam Young comes across kind of douchey with the anti-profanity statement, though.

Fuck this shit. I abhor owl city and I despise the remix. And what is this comment bashing the language in the music. There are words I consider inappropriate and none of them are in this song. I can't believe there are people (especially of his age) that still cursing is this aweful thing. Get over it.

Remix is ok, a little too up beat for what's supposed to be a sad song imo. Where'd You Go is incredible though; I remember hearing the very end of it on the radio for the first time and really wishing I knew who the artist was, years before I knew of LP or FM. And as for Adam Young's *disclaimer* I agree with Hybrid that it was a little over the top.
