For those of us who listen to music in other languages. And don't know what the hell they're talking about. I listen to a lot of A-Pop (Asian pop). Can't really get into the rock of it all though. My favorite foreign artists are: Utada Hikaru (you probably know her from Kingdom Hearts fame) Do As Infinity (they've done a lot of Inuyasha ending themes) David Tao Leehom Wang Michael Wong (Guang Liang) Jay Chou (he stars in and sings the theme song to Curse of the Golden Flower)
I listen to a few. Mainly Tyr though. There a Faroese Folk-Metal band (Faroe Islands are a fair way north of scotland) and i find i love their songs in Fareoese more than their ones in English.
the gazettE Dir en Grey Malice Mizer Utada Hikaru Nightmare Japanese music is about the only foreign language music I listen to, although there's half of a Cobra Starship song that's in Spanish...
I listen to lots of foreign music Mostly Japanese bands: Gazette D'espairs Ray UnsraW Poitrine Alice Nine LM.C Do As Infinity Utada Hikaru Ayumi Hamasaki Kaya Polysics + Many more I've also got some Latin, Turkish (Deja-vu) and German (Rammstein) music floating around on here somewhere.
