For DreamWorks, the Song Is Over DreamWorks has decided to exit the music business, agreeing to sell its record label to Universal Music Group for a reported $100 million. Although one of the company's founders is David Geffen, the legendary rock impresario and record company executive, DreamWorks scored few hits and produced even fewer music stars. Dreamworks was home to AFI, Jimmy Eat World, Powerman 5000, All-American Rejects, Boomkat and Alien Ant Farm among many others.
I can't believe they just dropped... Frick, there are so many great bands on that label and they're just giving it up?! Argh. Now if anything, albums I were expecting from bands on Dreamworks will now either be cancelled or delayed .
All the bands will (probably) still have a label, apparently Universal is buying out Dreamworks...so they'll all be on Universal.
Well I still assume that things will be pushed back, right? I don't know, I... am not music-smart . Nevermind, lmfao, I don't know what I'm saying.
And they are all kickass bands...espcecially Deadsy and Papa Roach. "I got the key, ket to gramercy park." ^^^^^Kick ass song.
