Does anybody know where i can download a flash disk driver for my usb on Win98. I have recently got an mp3 player and cannot seem to load the drivers from the CD onto my PC. My PC is bad enough already and being on Win98 just adds to the crappiness, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in adavance.
Some brand called, "Tychonic". http://www.tychonic.com Their website doesn't have drivers for download, only software. I'm not sure what to do, being as i can't upload the drivers from the CD i got with it. The whole thing is just pointless, my piece of crap computer won't let anything work.
I couldn't find any drivers, but i'll keep looking. Also, which version is the mp3 player, and what are the system req? thing i would try: restart while having that usb stick plugged in.
Ok, if you have Windows 98 SE, unplug the device then plug it back in. You should get a screen saying 'New Hardware Detected' or something like that. When it asks for the drivers, click the topmost circle (there should be 2) and it will bring up a thing with 4 or 5 options. Now is where you search the whole CD that came with the USB device for a *inf file. If you find it, you've found the drivers that run the device, keep note of where they are on the CD and go back to the driver install window. There should be a box (3rd or 4th from the top) with a location bar in it. Click the circle next to it, and put the path to the *inf file. That should fix it. If you can't find a *.inf file, the manufacturer should have the drivers on their website. That was all from memory
Thanks guys, but nothing seems to be working. My PC just freezes when i try to load the drivers from the disk. Does, anybody know if there is such a thing as a universal USB Flash Disk Drive driver for Win98?
