This is the international trailer, it was released around April 9th. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9memLopBGBM Lots of focus on Horace Slughorn
I don't care what people say, the books are amazing and fun and catchy. I don't really feel the movies live up to the series, but in all honesty, when do they ever? I understand it is impossible to include everything from the books in the movies so I'm not really bothered. I just wanted to point out the fact that I hate people who love these movies and have never read the book, like my little brother. Now he can't sit down and read the book because he feels he knows what already happens and is bored by it. I think the movies have ruined it for people who haven't read the books yet. Nothing against the movies though, just the people who won't sit down and read the things before watching it. It's sooo worth the read.
*le gasp* I'M SO FREAKIN' EXCITED! This trailer was intense! I was afraid that they weren't going to be able to capture the horror and whatnot in this book...but it looks like they might!
I still love the series, and I know how a lot of books turned into movies usually get the short end of the stick and suck it up badly. But with each HP movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it, except Goblet of Fire, they didnt fit that to my liking but they did alright. Order of The Phoenix was shortened really good, but I have high hopes for Prince because it was a shorter book and it has so much awesomeness in it.
Let me preface my comments by saying that I thought The Order of the Phoenix was underwhelming at best, and I worried that with the direction, music, and such by the same people as the lat film that it would be equally as mediocre. Not so. This film did an absolutely superb job of being everything it needed to be: exciting, creepy, scary, funny, sad, etc. Definitely the best of the bunch so far.
^Definitely the best, but they left important stuff out, and put stuff in that never happened in the book. That was annoying. But in general, it was entertaining. I know that parts were confusing for people who hadn't read the book (Josh for example) but things eventually made sense.
I thought they got all the important points across, mixed everything well, (Like not starting the movie with Snape, Narcissa and Belatrix, but rather put that after they get Slughorn and such.) and just generally made it a better movie than Order of Goblet was. They went by too fast for me and this went by better. Plus it was a smaller book.
The only thing that really annoyed me is that they didn't actually tell you who Fenrir Greyback was, there was like one brief flash of the Daily Prophet with him on the front of it, saying he had escaped from Azkaban, and half the people in the theater didn't even notice it. I kept hearing people whispering asking who is that when they showed him in the field attacking Ginny. He was really creepy looking though. I also thought that the younger Tom Riddle's were both brilliant. The kid who played the older one was perfect for the role.
Yeah I know! The eyes they gave him were so evil and the way he talked was like..Man, you know this kid is up to SOMETHING!
