I'm shocked that nobody here is talking about Fever 333. Imagine an alternate reality where Rage Against the Machine returned in 2019 for a socio-political rap rock album featuring choruses influenced by Linkin Park, electronics and strings straight out of Bring Me the Horizon, and whose poignant, narrative rapping channels and angrier Twenty One Pilots. Not to mention the colossal breakdowns that collide EDM, trap and post-hardcore. "Burn It" is the most invigorating radio rock single I've heard in years, and "Inglewood/3" is breathtaking. This band is straight fire and going to explode. Their propulsive energy is palpable and always urgent, and their live performances are insane. Strength in Numb333rs is easily my frontrunner for Album of the Year and its only February.
