Find it funny how the YouTube comments of the performance are immediately filled with remarks like "#NotMyLP" and "Linkin Pop", but they get offended and act like a victim when the band pokes fun at them for being overly entitled crybabies. Anyways, Chester has sounded really good playing this live. I like his two live performances of this more than the studio version. Kiiara seemed a bit nervous, and it was a little hard to hear her. Those boots though...
RIP HEAVY. Killed by Master Bennington two times in row. Chester sounds fantastic again, great performance. and Kiiara was a bit nervous, but she still young. I think that was her first TV appearance ever?
Oh yes. In the perfomance of the show, the second chorus, after the first verses of Kiiara, it's Chester who sings, while in the studio version it's Kiiara. And with the last chorus, the last "holding on", happens the same. Or maybe it's the perception by the fact that Kiiara sounds in the perfomance more lower than Chester. PD: Another more thing. I don't like how the rest of members are hiding behind the two singers. It's Linkin Park, despite the functions of Brad and Phoenix in this song are missing
This is not true. Chester's voice is heard first, less than 3 seconds into the track. Delson and Phoenix are both onstage and playing instruments I don't think the mix was doing Kii any favours, her level was considerably lower than Chester's. I wish they had let her lead the second chorus too
I am really not looking forward to this song on a LP concert. It's not bad, not "Not LP", not "missing GUITARZZ", it's just really, really boring imo. Also, seems like the final album cover in the beginning of the video.
Good performance! And as for the issue with whether or not the 'Invisible' live performance will be released, I don't think it's that much of a fuss anyway for me. There'll likely be a recorded version uploaded soon, even though I prefer waiting for the band to release it officially as a single or til album release.
Actually, I think when LP performs this song alone, it'll be much more energetic. You could see that Chester wanted to move around but held himself back.
Yeah if they're willing to play the sing to that audience, I can imagine we'll hear a studio version by the time the album releases. I see the music video for Heavy coming out by the end of next week, and Invisible coming out late March/early April as a promotional single.
I think that's actually a great thing. It brings out the story of the song by concentrating on the people who are delivering the vocals. The (imo gorgeous) lighting switches in the choruses to a less intimate setting. Besides focussing on the lyrics and the people who tell the story Kiiara gets to stand in the spotlight which is a really well deserved gift to her I think. I yet have to listen to the performance on better speakers but I love the sound of the whole thing so far. Quite a rich sound all together.
Kiiara was the most boring part to be honest, Chester's voice is very good here which is a relief because I was kinda worried about it following their last tour where it was sounding very strained. Crowd even cheered when he came back in with the chorus after Kiiara. Still think LP is capable of better music but the live performance is actually better than the studio version which is cool.
The band have sometimes seemed slightly nervous in live debuts of songs in the past, but this came off really well I thought. Vocals on point, Chester especially sounding great.
