Holy crap, an LP TV performance where Chester doesn't sound off-key or croaks and was borderline flawless.
I think this performance is about as good as you can make this song sound. I still don't like the song or the direction LP is going in but it did sound better in this performance.
Exactly. There can still be plenty of guitars potentially...just not 'metal sounding' guitars. Either way, Chester said in an interview that this album is the poppiest album they've done overall and Mike has referred to this album as 'more accessible' as well. So it's definitely going to be a pop record, even if it has guitars on every track. People should probably start expecting that, if Heavy didn't prepare them for that already .
Honestly, every performance he's done for this cycle so far has been great. The FB Live performance sounded wonderful, as did this.
Not likely as she heads out on tour with the chainsmokers. Guess that means waiting for the album then. Or hopefully they release it as a single soon! If it is in fact a single, it would be the first fully Mike led song to be a single. That would be cool! Also if you saw that mess, sorry about that @Derek. My phone was acting up, I deleted all the mutiple posts
GATS really wasn't a lead single but was more of a preview for what their sound would be for the album. I feel it would be better to compare UIG and Wastelands to 'Heavy' and 'Invisible'(if that is the song they will use as promotional single). So, I'd say a month from when 'Heavy' released, we'll get to hear Invisible. Take even 'Burn it Down' and 'Lies Greed Misery' or 'The Catalyst' and 'Wretches and Kings'. All promotional singles released within around a month from the lead singles. So guys, expect a promotional single by mid March.
Would it kill you to listen to the acapella before making claims like this? The second chorus is sung by Kiiara and Chester together on the record, as is the last "holding on" in the final chorus.
The last track on Living Things should've been Primo + I'll be gone live drums + Owen Pallett mixed loud at the end + a mix of both lyrics Anyway, the performance was great, love it
I can live without a video, but I expected at least a description. I'm starting to think that this alleged "performance" never happened.
Are you joking? There was audible guitar all over Living Things and screaming in Lost In The Echo, Lies Greed Misery and (faintly in the background in) Skin to Bone.
Neither is likely to happen. What Kevin said earlier was correct (even though I wrongly said I thought some probably recorded it lol). The band/LPU asked that nobody discusses the track, and it was made sure that all cellphones were off.
Um i think when the hunting party came out i actually posted alot of positive things so instead of attacking me all the time, you should attack someone else who complaines, im not gonna give into you and curse you at because thats what you would like me to so i can get banned, aint working buddy. If you dont like what i say than ignore my comments lol its that simple, im not forcing you to respond to my comments
Not trying to defend him but if he haven't posted anything possitive then is his problem. I'm saying this because I'm getting sick of seeing these things lately here in LPA.
