Favourite Video Game Characters?

Ok, couldn't find a thread related to this, if there is feel free to delete but i was kinda wondering what peoples favourtie characters where from video games and why they like them.

It's really to settle an argument i was having with a friend about liking video game characters because they wore skimpy clothing or because they where somebody you wished you where.

The Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney series has probably some of the strongest writing and narratives you will come across in games, and a lot of really good characters. Gumshoe, Marshall, Edgeworth, Phoenix himself... I love those games.

And Barry Burton from Resident Evil for pretty much the opposite reasons, haha.

 

I've actually never played the Phoenix Wright games... they look really good though. I should check it out.
