I like Final Masquerade the most. Followed by Rebellion, Keys To The Kingdom, A Line In The Sand and Mark The Graves
it feels too early to give an answer, but i still enjoy rebellion the most at the moment my top 12 goes: rebellion keys to the kingdom mark the graves guilty all the same war a line in the sand wastelands final masquerade all for nothing until it's gone the summoning drawbar
Instead of "too soon to tell", I'd have liked a "too hard to tell" option No, seriously, I can't decide between KTTK, War, Rebellion, MTG, and ALITS... and Drawbar (yep, I really love that kind of music). Too difficult. Maybe as time goes by I'll have a better opinion, so I'm voting the "too soon" option.
A little too fast for me to give a definitive answer, but I can give you my top 12 at the moment. Of course, everything can change. 1. All For Nothing (feat. Page Hamilton) 2. Final Masquerade 3. Wastelands 4. A Line In The Sand 5. Keys To The Kingdom 6. Guilty All The Same (feat. Rakim) 7. Rebellion (feat. Daron Malakian) 8. Until It's Gone 9. War 10. Drawbar (feat. Tom Morello) 11. Mark The Graves 12. The Summoning I think every song except Mark The Graves (though more and more I like it), and The Summoning is okay. It is difficult, however, to give me a final and definitive answer. We'll see in a month, maybe two.
Favorites: Final Masturbate Until It's Gone Rebellion All For Nothing (The heavy shit!! ) Keys To The Kindgom Wastelands The others songs are still growing on me, but I'm not a fan of War and Mark Da Graves
I put All for Nothing because it's stood out most of the ones just being released. I need to listen more though.
I went with Keys To The Kingdom. There is so much going on in this song. Vocal effects, strange musical parts like the part at :22 or when Mike's vocal gets cut off a bit by a distant distorted effect-ed scream, the wooden drums that come in before the guitar solo, a very bizarre lyric that makes up the theme of the song, the outro with the kids. It's just jarring and left-field, while still having some structure to it.
Mark the Graves has easily become my favorite LP track, dethroning Blackout (which is what this song is, Blackout's 2nd half on steroids). The instruments and structure of this song surpasses everything they've ever done, and the screams Chester does at the end is just viscious A Line in the Sand is good too, but if you listen to it closely, it's Powerless > Victimized > GATS on steroids in that order. KTTK and War are great as well. And although the new-ness for GATS has worn off since we've heard it first, it's also still one of the highlights. Overall, very pleased with the album. Next up: Step it up Phoenix! I wanna hear that bassline!
Mark The Graves. It just proves that LP can make innovative rock music. It's beautiful aesthetically, musically, even rythmically. Everything is just perfect in there. LP have really done it with this track.
