New band is called "We Are The Fallen" [YOUTUBE]i1RJAVUcQ0Y[/YOUTUBE] Ouch. I imagine Amy must be pissed right now. This band has Ben Moody (Evanescence Co-Founder), original Ev drummer Rocky Gray and John LeCompt. It's basically Evanescence without Amy which explains why it sounds like a mix of old Ev and Lacuna Coil. Not sure whether or not I like it.
The vocalist's voice sounds like an almost-copy of Amy Lee's. The song's nice, but is it just me, or does it sound a bit generic?
It sounds exactly like Fallen-era Evanescence, and that album (as good as it was) was pretty generic sounding in spots. Ben Moody (current songwriter in this band) wrote most of Fallen, so that explains why it sounds like something we've heard before.
I don't like it. It's like the radio hard rock equivalent of symphonic metal, ie two of my least favourite kinds of music combined.
I saw this a few weeks back and my opinion is still the same as what I think now - Evanescence mark II.
Same exact problem I have with Evanescence. The voice kills it for me. Didn't like Amy Lee and this girl sounds EXACTLY like her. It's kinda creepy actually lol.
I don't feel sorry for Amy at all, and this sounds decent enough. I loved Fallen, so I will follow these guys.
I don't really like it. Well, I guess I'm neutral but I wouldn't listen to it on my own. If I heard this song, I would probably think it is the exact same Evanescence as before.
And they should cover the score for the Star Wars series, and add vocals on top of that. Hey, it'd be better than this piece of shit.
