Faint

What's the message that Faint is trying to send across? I know it's how someone doesn't want to be ignored, but I think there's more. It's been my favorite song for years now, I've listened to it everyday since I first heard it. What do you guys think?

 

That's right, "Faint" is my fav. song on this album, too. The first message they give us with this is obviously that no one wants to be ignored. In my case it helped me alot to quit with things and relationships they already started and got too far to turn back. But, as I said, it just changed everything in me.

oh yeah, this is a very awesome song. my fave on meteora, too.

i personally listen to it and think of me and my ex's on-and-off relationship.

"I am, What I want you to want, What I want you to feel, But it's like, No matter what I do, I can't convince you, To just believe this is real." - i wanted him to feel the way i felt, which he did, and then things, like previously, went cruddy.

"So I let go, Watching you, Turn your back like you always do, Face away and pretend that I'm not, But I'll be here, Cause you're all that I got." - when ever we would break up, before he would walk away, i would tell him that i'd always be here, because he was all that i had.

he has signaled that we may be getting back together in a couple months...my friends think i'm crazy...pray for me!..i love this kid. :hugz:

i think you're looking too deep in the song,its about someone who doesn't want to be ignored ^^

and it almost sucks,if it wasn't for the awesome screaming bridge

 

Yeah, the screaming is definetly the best part of the song, but it certainly wouldn't suck without it. I like the beat, guitar, and Mike raps well in it.

 

OK slow down men!!!Faint is one of the best Linkin Park songs (after Numb and Breaking the habit).You can't tell that is sucks.And the screaming bridge isn't the best part.The best part is the opening of the song!!!Slow down with this song ok?!?! Don't be so hard. :angry:

 

nah, Faint is way over rated.

Hit the floor owns it, nearly all the songs on Meteora and Hybrid Theory own faint.

Faint is one of LP's best songs (well, all of them are, but it's one of the top). I feel it's about a relationship like previously said. I was in one where Faint just described everything about it and I felt like screaming I WONT BE IGNOOOOORED! every once and a while lol.
