I wonder if Mike and/or Chester will have changed the lyrics on any of their songs to fit the lyrics of Jay-Z's or vice versa? I'm also wondering whether there will be a portion of a song (like in Numb/Encore, for example) where the regular instrumentation of Numb goes into a hip-hop beat or something... I'm curious as to how it would work out. I know LP is willing to go the extra mile to create new parts... look what they did at Rock AM Ring... maybe they'll go into a modified version of Jay-Z's beats...

Also, what do you think the format of the verses would be? Post your ideas.

I'm pretty excited that Mike will have his own new raps on this album. I hope working with another rapper will bring out his talent that has been reduced ever since the EP.

I think they will incorporate hip hop beats into the music but I think that Chester will sing the same things. It would be cool if he had changed lyrics too but we don't know yet.

    Points/99 prob/OSC

Mike changes many words to refreance to a group of people instead of one person.

The funniest change is "my black ass" to "our ass" because...

    1. "our ass" doesn't make sense, but it's in there to rhyme.

    2. I can only imagine what people would say if Mike said "his black ass" (refering to JZ the same way "my" does in the original song.) I can see the " (!) Linkin Park Is Racist!! (!) " headlines/threads/chat topics now. What makes it real ironic is how LP is the exact opposite irl.

the things you notice when you're tired of doing your term paper... :hmm: :crashed:

You may have missed the point of my post.

It would be "his black ass" and if you are white, then I can assure you that there will be people out there that say you are racist. Some people get offended by almost everything these days; do you disagree? Do you recall the huge reaction to Eminem's video "Just Loose It"? It got taken off of BET completely because people don't know how to deal with parodies. He even says in the song "That's not a stab at Michael". People are even worse when it comes to race issues.

As for myself, no. You wouldn't seem racist to me at all, but I really don't get offended compared to others.
