The ONLY way this show could have been better would be if Jon Davis had made an appearance on OSC.

The band is dead on and have an energy like I've only heard a few times. Mike, Chester and Brad seem to be in especially good spirits. Add to that the taper's position in the venue (dead center, 18 rows back), just enough crowd interaction and a deadly taping rig... This is a VERY special event; this show has been sought after by a lot of us since the incomplete version was released.

Major props to Mark on this one.

The mp3s were created from the flac files. Most people can't tell the difference when listening.

FLAC files are for those who want to archive the show in as close to the original form as they can.

The sound quality wasn't good. But apart from that it was good. Thanks for uploading it!

Sound wasn't good? lol wtf. It's lossless (FLAC) with one of the best taping rigs that has ever taped LP, ever. Sounds amazing to me.

All depends on your point of view.

If you download an audience taped show expecting soundboard quality you're going to be disappointed. Having heard almost every circulated LP show... This easily ranks in my top 3 as far as sound quality goes.

Did you expect Live in Texas? I'm pretty sure we wouldn't get it for free if they professionally recorded it.

    LOL

If you look at the txt file included on Hahninator's server and look at the part about the source... The gear used to tape this is about as professional as you can get for field recording witout having a soundboard feed.

No worries guys. I hope it's only temporary and Hahninator's not around at the moment.

For now, I'm trying to set up an alternate host, so hold tight.

    **EDIT**

Thanks to DJ Bloodfrost for the hosting. I'm uploading these as fast as I can, so be patient:

An alternate link appeared on the LPU as well:

    http://audio.linkin-photo.net/live/2004.09.05_mountain_view_flac/ FLAC

    Thanks to xp27 for those.
