ESPN have stated on their website that they will feature the television premier of Linkin Park's new single "The Catalyst" during their coverage of The X Games 16, which run from July 29th - August 1st in Los Angeles, Calif. " just in case you ppl want to save time..the above line is mentioned in the last paragraph... i hope they are telecasting the entire program in India..coz sometimes..they just compress it to main events..really lookin forward to July 29
I was a little hesitant to post this as I feel we may hear more of the song if not the full thing before this airs anyway, and I'm not sure if watching a bunch of crazy ass stunts & extreme sports is the way I want to experience The Catalyst for the first time if we don't. Unless they play the video or a portion of it instead of use it as background music to people failing, I probably won't be too interested in this.
I just can't believe THIS is how we are going to hear this anticipated song for the first time. Through the X games on ESPN? I take this as "We will hear the Catalyst BEFORE July 29th." Less than a week? Heck maybe a few more days
you know, just because they start airing coverage on july 29th doesn't meant the song will pop up by then. they might even wait 'til the eve of August 2nd (when it's released anyway) to play some kind of highlight reel with the song. i'll just wait until some radio station plays it prematurely and it's uploaded as opposed to having ESPN on unnecessarily. though that Travis Pastrana documentary sounds cool.
Well, though this isn't how I thought I'd hear the song for the first time, but....it's better than nothing Maybe it might leak before or be released by the band before the 2nd? Anything can happen.
Well I hope someone tivos it because I can't be bothered to sit in front of a tv all day just to listen to what might amount to a clip of the song. I hope I am wrong though!
