Single: 1-3 songs EP (Extended Play [longer than a single]): 4-9 songs LP (Long Play [longer than both a single and EP]): 10+ songs
LP's arent always 10, Staind's second album, Dysfunction, was only 9 songs and its not considered an EP.

Fatboy Slim had to have one of his singles taken off the shelves a few years ago because he tried passing it off as a single when it was an EP. I have no idea how or why, but it's true.
Nope. Adema released Insomniac's Dream, an EP, under their label, Arista (sp). [/b][/quote] yeah i always thought an EP was independent but then Adema released Insomniac's Dream and confused me lol btw i'm new to these boards
