What does everyone think? From some of my comments in Random Thoughts you may already know that I think it's an incredible album. Better than Take To The Skies I think. Though I also thought that a lot of the songs on TTTS were better in their demo form. But yeah, this is sick. I'm also loving the way they're still using "And still we will be here, standing like statues" as an on-going thing.
They seem to be getting better at least. I didn't like their first album much aside from about three tracks, maybe four or five at a stretch.
Shall go hunt for this, didn't know it was leaked/released/whatever yet. I saw them live about a month ago and I quite liked all the new songs they played then, will post my thoughts on the album later though when I've found it. EDIT: Well, it seems more consistent than TTTS, but TTTS still seems to home the majority of the bands more stand-out/stand-alone songs. It is definitely a progression from their last album and I'm enjoying a lot, even though it does sound like Mike Skinner could be fronting The Prodigy at some points =P And Dedicated, I must agree with you about their demos.
I can't wait for this CD to drop, but I'm gonna try my hardest not to go download it and wait for it to actually come out next month.
they evolved, but i feel a lack of "core"ness which i always liked about them on TTTS. don't think that this release will do much for me.
Just started listening to it for the first time. If the rest of the album is as good as the first two tracks (excluding the intro) it will easily be better than Take To The Skies and relatively high on my AOTY list. Consider me converted if they keep it up.
i love "hectic", "step up" and "the jester". some crazy stuff going on there. i would really like to party to "hectic", fucking brilliant. the record as a whole is ok i guess, expected something else.
I expected something completely different, but really like Common Dreads. It sounds like their trying be more mature this time around and the streets esque rapping is catchy and new.
