Hey, I am new to the board, my name is Esha but as of late I have been going by the name of Catalysta. I hope to be friends with all of you! No I am not exaggerating. ALL OF YOU. :angry: ALL! I tend to be silly at times and have been a fan of Linkin Park since Hybrid Theory. I even have a funny story of how I heard about them should any of you wish to be bored senseless. And so I shall! Ok, I put this in my profile but I will elaborate here. I was in high school when I first heard them. I was also on antibiotics because of three infections hitting me at once. Throat, nasal and flu. I felt like steve urkel. Anyway, the meds I was on had me rather delirious for a few days to the point where I couldn't get out of bed. I was like that for 3 weeks. At night however, I would have to leave the tv on or else I forgot to breathe and wake up. Weird but, that's just how many drugs I had to take to get well. Anyway, I left my tv on MTV2. At about 3am, I hear this guitar riff. I open my eyes to see what I thought was a skinny man hunched over in a tunnel playing guitar. I thought nothing of it. Then a few seconds later I'm being screamed at. When I open my eyes I see a red haired man telling me he is about to break and a yellow haired man screaming about everything I was (not) saying to him leading to the red haired mans breaking theory. And I immediately quipped, "who is this? the ketchup mustard boys?" I was so out of it that I wasn't hearing the song, I just saw extremely bright hair. Not to forget to mention that the tv was swirling. So when Chester ends up upside down, I believe the desired effect of WTF was achieved for the director. lol. But two days later, I got into a fight with my aunt whom I was living with. The video came on again and instead of blowing up at her while she nagged me for the entire duration, I heard the words in the song. Suddenly I felt better. She is still confused as to what made me change my attitude so quickly. I decided from that moment on that Linkin Park somehow said what I had been wanting to say for so long for me, and they kind of haven't stopped. I can trace the outline of my life in their lyrics. Cheesy yes, but they have changed my life. Now...if they could just get back to me on that record deal. Bored yet?!?! :-D
