Well the electronic entertainment expo (E3) will begin shortly later on today. Is anybody actually going to be there? Or watching it on their computer? Discuss anything E3 related here including new stories, videos etc etc and of course your own opinions. This year I'm hoping for it to be explosive, Assassin's Creed 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mass Effect 2 etc etc. Website: E3 Insider
I kind of feel bad for Sony this year; it seems like half of what they were going to announce has already leaked, haha.
The only news I'm really excited for is the console features for Tekken 6. That game looks fucking badass.
I think EA and Ubisoft's conferences are up next, so it'll probably be shown in a few hours. @Dean: Too bad there wasn't any gamplay shown, though.
Pretty soon people will be living inside XBoxes in a world governed by Bill Gates. Therefore Linux/open source users are probably the future's Somalian pirates/Al-Quaeda.
Milo: http://kotaku.com/5274554/molyneuxs-milo-brings-a-virtual-child-to-the-xbox-360 This is simultaneously creepy and amazing. If this tech works the way the video shows, then this could represent the next evolution in game design. Can you imagine this engine implemented in something like Fallout 3 or Harvest Moon? Characters reacting to what you say, what you do, interacting with physical objects? The possiblities are insane. Thats assuming that this works, though. Which is probably won't, because this is Peter Molyneaux.
the Ubisoft conference has been absolutely diabolical. Yes it had pele making a forced speech. Only now are we seeing...Yet another Splinter Cell trailer that is showing exactly the same as any other game. Ugh. VALVe have announced LFD:2. Not happy at all. I hope it's a joke. Bioware have really pleased me though. Ace teaser for KOTR and new trailer for ME:2. Looking forward to it.
Don't buy left4dead unless you have friends that also want to play it with you. With friends it's countless hours of enjoyment, without, maybe an hour or two before you get annoyed playing by yourself or with punks online.
I don't know. I enjoyed L4D a lot - I just feel that it doesn't need any sequels. It was good enough as it was.
Well I just spent around 5 hours today watching E3 event. o_o Assassin's Creed 2 = Yes SW:ToR = Yes --------- Was a bit surprised with the Left 4 Dead sequel because I can imagine it's going to be exactly the same as the first, but re-skinned, in that everything feels and works the same, only the texture of the level will change. :\
Wow, lots of nice Nintendo stuff? Super Mario Galaxy 2? New third-person Wii Metroid? Golden Sun DS? WarioWare: DIY? Mario And Luigi 3? Heck. Yes.
That Project Natal coming out for the Xbox just looks plain fucking epic. I'm gonna start investing in an Xbox now.
Hell to the yes. Microsoft are blowing me away with all the new features that will come out for it soon. Social networking (might get into it when it's released for xbox), movies, TV, avatar games, Natal and no new xbox to buy to get it all, all content that we can download.
