For some reason, My DVD burner stopped accepting DVD's ever since I took it in to get my system cleaned and get more memory. It dosnt accept or recognize any DVD, but it still burns CD's. Anyone know why? I have an Optorite 12X DVD+-R Double Layer burner.I've been trying to use -R and they dont' work, and I've tried differemt brands.

Gotta love it when you allow idiots to 'clean' your computer. Might as well give them a hammer too.

I'm pretty sure you're missing the drivers. Either find the CD that came with the burner, or Google for the drivers. :)

Its a longshot, but are you sure they didn't replace your drive with a cd burner? My friend had that done to him, they were upgrading his computer (I would have done it for free) and they stole some ram and switched his drive.
