Dry Cell show last night (March 2)

So Dry Cell had a show last night at The Roxy out in LA... I know a lot of you are fans, so I thought I'd just post a little review from someone who was there. Sounds like fun and good times to me. B)

And for those of you who don't know, when she starts talking about Jeff's (former lead singer) band, he now is in a new band called Acrylic.

And when she talks about Far From Flesh, that's Brandon's (Dry Cell drummer) other band.

Its 1/1:30 ish am and i just got back. I didnt stay the entire time, cause i got classes later this morning.

anyway, I just wanted to see Dry Cell as it is now, and what else can i say, but WOW. Dave is all over that stage. ok, i know its not all about who owns the stage, but Dave, along with Brandon, Danny & Judd, definatly held their own on it tonight.

they played 4 songs i think, the first 3 we know as Peewee, Grape Jelly & Velvet Elvis. though Grape Jelly was called Living for nothing, peewee was called run, and i dont remember what they called Velvet Elvis. And i think some lyrics were changed too. then they played a totally new song.

rewinding a little: Jeff was there. Not only was he there, but Acrylic did indeed play. i wouldnt say they sucked, but they werent terrific. the last song they played, the lyrics went along the lines "i dont want to be a loser...i just want to be...." and repeated 72 times [joke]

besides the 2 black guys off to the right side somewhat mocking them, and the girls with the lighters on the left, what made it even more funny was when dry cell played later, brandon had loser written on his stomach area.

rewinding even farther: Far From Flesh played, and were really good. though i have no idea what the singer was saying

other noted stuff: where the hell were the fans from past shows?! neil, steven, todd, erin, rikki, and others, werent there
i know people are busy and it was a weeknight, but yeah thats sorta a bummer.

i only took 9 pictures so hopefully at least 3 come out decent
other people (ester, tiffini, amongst others) were taking pictures too so perhaps someone will donate also.

 

Sounds wicked.
