I don't know if there's just a tread like this but anyway... What are yours opinions? Is Driv3r worth the hype or is it just ######## ? Post it al right here in this tread!!
They spent a lot of time on physics and detail for four years and then threw the rest of the game together in one week. Not worth it.
Some of the complaints that were mentioned in the 'reasons to not buy Driv3r' were just completely stupid. Let's look at: Exhibit A: No pistol aiming system. There is an aiming system if you took the time to figure it out. Moving and aiming is exactly like Halo, and if you couldn't figure that out, then I'm just going to have to e-slap you. Exhibit B: Less than good music. Turn off the music in the game, find your stereo, pop in a CD you like. Problem solved. Exhibit C: Mediocre textures. Since when were graphics everything to a game? Does gameplay not matter or something? What about the controls, or the storyline? Aren't they an integral part of the game, as well? (Disclaimer: The following opinion is based on the Driv3r experience on the Xbox, and will most likely differ on other systems)
mmm :wth: i just hired the game and played a few hours with i and here's my conclusion: I worth the hype buth not completely: there are some mistakes, but yeah, which game is perfect? the grapics are regular, i think that gta 3 is (much) worse, the gameplay isn't that easy in the beginning, but after a couple hours of trying, it's finally worling out the cars are cool to drive and they are also fun to destroy!! tanner has a lot of new moves!! (-> swimming, climbing,...) the storyline looks like a lot of holywood action movies and other games (gta, the getaway) but of you just keep comparing these games with movies or other games, like vice city and the getway, you'll never have a good game, beside the new gta!! i would give this game + - 76/100
I bought it thinking it would pass the time while waiting for San Andreas but its really not worth even $50. Its full of bugs, the draw distance is horrible and its too easy
No, I was left dissapointed by the game. As someone mentioned, the textures were aweful, especially the shrubbery. And I tried the Xbox version, so you know that's not a good thing. There were graphical glitches a muck, I parked my boat through a wall in one mission :|. There aren't enough people, there aren't enough cars, and there's not enough personality,
after reading a review driv3r seems like a waste of time...the only thing thats awesome are the cut scenes
Sort of, and not really. Remember that the whole walking out and yanking people out of cars were originally done in it's predecessor, Driver 2. They just added guns to the mix, this time around.
