Hi guys. I was wondering if any of you had a dreamcast because i am the only one of my friends with one. If you do have one what games do you have for it, what is your fave game, and what do you rate it out of 10?

The Dreamcast wasn't around that long, and not much came out for it. I have three games for it. I can't really rate it, but it was probably the first system to come out with some good graphic-enhanced games, before PS2, Gamecube and Xbox hit the scene. Now the Dreamcast is a failed thing of the past. Every long once and awhile I pick it up and play it, but not for very long .

The only games I have for it is Sonic, Seaman and Rayman, haha. I got it as a present, and didn't really buy games for it, so yeah, it's just sitting around collecting dust.

Like I said in the other thread, my favorite game is Seaman, and if you read the other thread, I say why . I absolutely love that game... Too bad once you play it, it's no fun the second time around since you know what's going to happen.

I beat the crap outta my Dreamcast, and now it has a malfunctioning lens
I had about 20 games (most were copies), but my fav. one was Shenmue. Best game i've ever played. I spent most of my time on Sonic Adventure 2, Sega GT all the all-time classic Silver.

Dreamcast was the prequel to the Next-Generation wars and while it had pretty good graphics it absolutely paled in comparison to the ps2, xbox and gamecube and thus because a thing of the past.

Sega went out of business in terms of making consoles because it failed so horribly and then soon they became simply a developer for games. I don't believe we'll ever be seeing a console from Sega ever again.

Don't get me wrong, Dreamcast was a pretty fun gaming console but I believe nobody will even remember it in a few years...just like the Genesis was overshadowed by the Playstation 1. There just doesnt seem to be a lot of luck for Sega in the consoles department. Shame because Dreamcast had some pretty graphics for its time.

Dreamcast was discontinued in under a year. After that, Sega was bought out by Sony and was no longer making consoles. The problem with Sega is that they always wanted to be one step ahead and brought out their consoles too fast. The consoles would be priced high, and the consumer would not be used to these prices as the next wave of consoles had not hit stores. I still have a Sega Genisis though, the games a really bad, but really fun if you are extremely bored.

OUCH! That was a really bad one. Sega would NEVER be sold to Sony. Even if it already had, would it be designing games for Game Cube and Xbox?

No, they didn't just buy out Sega for the sake of buying them out. They paid alot of money to Sega just so they won't make any more consoles. Eliminating a future competition, I guess.

My friend bought a Dreamcast and 14 games along with 3 VMU's and an extra broken Dreamcast (which can be fixed) for $100. I'm hoping to buy the extra one off him. My fave game for Dreamcast would have to be Crazy Taxi, but it's the only game I've played for it.

Crazy Taxi's soundtrack of The Offspring is hell! I could play a free ride for hours.
