My university doesn't allow us to use P2P or Bittorrent programs (they are blocked), so I was wondering if anyone here could explain to me how to bypass the security in order to download here. Thanks!

EDIT: I have BitComet and uTorrent

Don't. Your college's IT department blocks it for a reason, and that is to prevent a few people hogging everyone else's bandwidth with BitTorrent applications. When I lived in that dorm, we had that problem. Some users would download 24/7, and the rest of us were stuck at speeds comprable to dial up. Its blocked to be fair to others, and don't try to get around that.

    1 word: Encryption.

But that won't stop you for getting caught, jsyk.

Tried that and it didn't work.

I don't really care about using bandwith, considering im only on my laptop there for about an hour a day. I commute, so it's not like I'm trying to download 24/7.

DC++ has had it's day, it's not as good now. Either torrents or IRC.

DC++ is awesome if you can find the address of the hub at the college.
