The Download Festival YouTube account has uploaded an interview with Mike and Chester talking about the early days of Linkin Park. They talk about gimmicks the label tried to push on them, how Chester started screaming over the music and the struggle to get Hybrid Theory out. Now, you see... This video is almost all Chester. And it's interesting. Why don't you let this guy speak? He puts some passion in it, instead of just repeated himself like a robot, which is exactly what Mike does. Copied from the shoutbox.
Finally Chester gets to talk Warner: let's make a soft album. LP: fuck you were making what the fuck we want to make so fuck off
All the fucking proposed gimmicks! "A red hat." Can't help but feel like that's Fred Durst they're talking about. This interview should definitely put the final nail in the coffin of #BlameWarner. LP did what that wanted to do. Interesting tidbit about the screaming though. That's fucking cool.
This video was awesome. It just made me realize why that record was so special. PS: Mike is on some kind of rampage man. Calling out names like it's no ones business(Fred Durst this time)
I can only read "fuck" everywhere after this interview But the interview was fucking awesome, it was nice to hear some fucking new things about their fucking first record again. I especially liked the part with those fucking gimmicks.
It is definitely good to hear Chester speak up. No disrespect to Mike, but sometimes he speaks a bit much and says the same old stuff. I like hearing Chester speak honestly about things and showing that integrity, even if it's not with the exact same eloquence that Mike has.
