looks interesteing. i havent played Doom but my mates all enjoy it, im more of an Unreal Tournament player... Unreal Tourny would make a good movie i reckon... sort fo be like a futuristic version of Gladiator.

The stuff I heard from Comic Con gave me a bit of hope for the project. There's a 5 minute scene that's filmed entirely in first person view, which is meant to be exactly like the game. You've also got the benefit that they moved the setting of the movie to Mars and included demons to keep it a lot more authentic, and probably to keep it from turning into Resident Evil: In Space!

I do live in hope that the film is watchable, but I think that the fact it's named after the game will mean that people will be a lot less accepting, even if it's a passable action/horror movie. Fingers crossed it does well, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I have to disagree with you guys who say it looks horrible... it looks much better than I was expecting, personally. It fits a lot more with the story than we were led to believe. The monsters look amazing, too.
