hi, Look this may sound harsh for the meteora fans. I basically feel that the whole album sounds the same.LP uses the same formula for all the songs.Mike raps, chester sings the chorus, mike raps again, chester sings the chorus then suddenly gets fits and screaming the hell for being a loser at high school. So basically the whole album is similar. Following songs use the above RAP-SING-RAP-SCREAM formula-- DON'T STAY SOMWHERE I BELONG LYING FROM YOU HIT THE FLOOR FAINT FIGURE.09 FROM THE INSIDE HEY LP YOU GOTTA CHANGE BEFORE YOU BRING OUT UR NXT ALBUM REMEMBER ORIGINALITY
1) How many times have we had this conversation about Meteora? 2) Don't use caps TOO much. 3) Use the Edit button insted of double posting.
what he said^^ i know where you are coming from though :wth:
Psst... Hana's a she But... I think Meteora was a let down, but they can't really change anything can they... I mean 2 singers with 2 different singing styles, what can they change?
Yeah.. i dont see Brad screaming the hell out of his ass and Chester jumping off a stage playing One Step Closer with a guitar..-_-
HEY. DOES SOMEONE NEED TO LAY OFF THE CAPS LOCK AND POST BUTTONS? Yes they need to change. They need to get rid of Mr. Gilmore. Haha, that actually made me sound interested
I love Don Gilmore as their producer, he really pushes them to make their music as well written, played, recorded, and mixed as possible. Any project he touches, he turns to gold. Yes, LP does use a repetitive formula, but they do that because it works. I like that their music is extremely organized, some artists are a bit more freeform and it can have both a positive/negative outcome. And besides, wasn't Reanimation enough of a change?
i agree with both sides. i agree that even though they use the same formula for many of the songs, it sounds good. Organization is good, but still, I'd like to see some structural, and lyrical, changes in the next album.
Yeah, this topic has been done before, but it's worth it. Everything revolves around this. Linkin Park doesn't need to change, they need to go back to being the same band they used to be. If they don't do this, they are going to lose a lot of fans. The majority of them will come and go because the average listener's taste in music changes. Not only will they, but the dedicated fans who will eventually get tired of the lack of creativity being put in the music. If they were still making music independently, the #### they would put out would be better than anything any other band could produce. This is my opinion, but I feel strong about it. I know others may disagree, but this band has a lot of potential. There's not too many artists you can say that have made this kind of impact on the music industry and did it by being creative? Hybrid Theory sold as many records as it did because it was original and creative.
hey, i agree with the repetitivity of their formula but it produces a lot of my favorite LP songs so im not saying its a bad formula... hi chester!
I liked HT a lot better and I think they should go back to the same original lyrics and music as in HT. Doing that on the next album would sound a lot better.
No. No it wasn't.
lmao! and iam sorry for calling hana a boy! i think LP might change things about when they release these new tracks at the end of the year (in what format exactly, iam not sure) that would be nice to see chester+rap=
Stop posting nonsense like "maybe Chester should start rapping." LP has coined their sound, and it's original, and they shouldn't change. The only thing I'd like them to MAYBE change on their 3rd album is to have some tracks with 3 verses instead of only 2 on most of them. That would make for longer songs.
I keep hearing people say meteora was a let down and this and that. I dont see whats wrong with it i think its a great album. Is it really a let down just because they say ignored in like 5 songs and pain in like 5 songs and have the same formula in like five songs. I must say though if they make another album thats alot like meteora it probably will kind of suck but lets just hope the still have the old HT creativity in them.
