Dino Cazares (ex-Fear Factory) started a new band with Tim Yeung, formerly of Hate Eternal and the World's Fastest Drummer (literally), Nile's old bass player, and some guy I've never heard of on vocals.

They're really good, in my opinion...Dino's last few FF albums were running really dry but he has some fresh riffs.

oh, and for all the ladies out there, there's a vid on that page of Tim Yeung playing drums shirtless, for your viewing pleasure. And also for your viewing pleasure, Dino Cazares keeps his shirt ON.

Looking at the lineup it sound like it should be pretty badass but I'm at a friend's house right now I'll listen to it later when I get home tomorrow.

BLASPHEMY!!! Just kidding. These guys sound pretty good. Fear Factory's still better IMO (I'm disregarding Transgression btw).

Digimortal... Eewwww. Your right, Transgression actually had some redeeming qualities and could have been as good as Obsolete had their label not made
them rush the album out. Anyways, I'm just glad to see Dino back in a full-time
    band.

The best part is, they're the only two FF albums I ever heard in their entirety.

So yeah, this is better than the majority of FF songs I've heard =]

listen to Soul of a New Machine and Demanufacture all the way through...cause then you'll get a full idea of what Dino Cazares did with that band.

Demanufacture is probably one of the best metal albums of the 90's, imo.
After you get that and SOANM, I would definitely check out Archetype to see
how good they are without Dino (which is still damn good). It kind of repeats
what they did with Demanufacture (with a bit of Obsolete for good measure), but
    it still fucking rips!

ehh, all Christian knows how to do is play triplets, other than that, he's TERRIBLE, especially live.

Never seen them live, but Dino never impressed me that much either (when he
was in FF). Christian pretty much just aped Dino's style. I don't listen to Fear
Factory for stunning guitar work, though. We all know Raymond Herrera (hope I
spelled that right) and Burton C. Bell are the stars of the show. Christian was a
much better bass player than he was guitar player.

Christian aped Dino's style, minus the talent...I'd like to see Christian try and do what Dino's doing in Divine Heresy right now.

and Christian live is nothing short of a joke. in addition to being off-time, he was planted in one spot and did not move at all. sort of like a battery-low robot.

but anyways. Divine Heresy FINALLY put their songs available for myspace adds...

I agree Christian isn't the best, but like I said, I've never seen him play live so its not my place to say. I was just saying that imo, Archetype is as good as anything they ever put out with Dino.
I haven't heard Divine Heresy's whole album so I don't really know what its going to be like, but I think the only thing the band has going against them is their vocalist. He just sounds too (god I hate this word) metalcore for my tastes. I'm still looking forward to it.

hmm, I thought Archetype, after the first 5 songs, REALLY dropped off and had a lot of weak spots.

and I think Tommy Vext sounds like a young version of Burton...I like his voice.

Well... to each their own, I guess. As far as Tommy Vext goes, if DH's music on
"Bleed the Fifth" is as good as what I've heard on Myspace, then I'm sure I'll
warm up to their vocalist in no time.
