There is this Japanese rock band that I love called Dir En Grey, or Diru for short. Quite possibly one of the most...bizarre bands out there. I mean, they adopted Marilyn Manson as one of their own. All Japanese rock bands do actually... must be the androngynous look that attracts them... :chemist: But anyways, here's Diru. I wouldn't recommend going on this site unless you have Japanese installed on your computer And for those who are too lazy to click the above link and manage to understand what it says, Uhm yeah. I was going to post the link to the music video for their new single "Saku", but 1) it's pretty disgusting and 2) it causes epilepsy... :chemist: Their new single Saku So there is the mp3. Oh, and yeah, the guitarist, Kaoru, LOVES LP. He's been to a couple of their shows
Yeah I like a lot of J-rock and Nip-hop. Dragon Ash (Japanese Linkin Park.. but better), Dir En Grey, X Japan (The creators of Visual Shock), The Pillows. I wouldn't go as far to say all bands adopt Manson. That's only the Visual Shock bands. I must say though, Japanese visual shock bands have that adrogyny thing down for sure. "They are the only Japanese in the world that has dealt with tremendous hurt and sorrow." Whu-whu-whaaat?! So all other Japanese are pretty happy people huh? Nice sales pitch for the band I guess. Angst masters. I have all of their old stuff. I hope the new stuff is better. Anyone here who wants to explore should really check out Dragon Ash.
Haha. Diru, Pierrot, Malice Mizer, L'Arc-En-Ciel, and X-Japan rock. Yeah. Diru is...interesting... Saku isn't that bad. Obscure is pretty good too. Child Prey is hilarious. But I prefer the older stuff, like Cage, Hydra, [KR] Cube, and Umbrella. Dragon Ash sounds pretty good. And yeah, they have the androngynous fanservice thing going down too. <---knows alot of Toshiya fangirls. <---Is thoroughly afraid of some of them
