I think they just should've made more songs HT style. But I guess the way Meteora is good, too . . . but I still LOVE meteora the way it is. It rocked the first time I listened to it. But then I finally got HT, and I loved that one more . . . I should've changed my vote to NO, then, huh? Btw, you posted this topic in the wrong forum.
maybe they should change there style slightly for the next album. Not so much that its totally noticable, only slightly.
i think they should change their style slightly so that it's not so similar to their last cds, but not too much that it's almost too far from their usual style.
Hold on before I answer, I have to sneeze: AAAAAAACHOOOOOO*stupidesttopic*OOOOOOOOO!!!! What was I gonna say?
Why? This topic is lame without a doubt. No, they shouldn't have changed their style, they're doing fine! I'm not going to get critical on something like this. Next is a topic on: "Should the Meteora booklet been more like Hybrid Theory's?"
I was actually thinking of making that topic.. Not really. And no, I don't think Linkin Park should have changed their style. Hybrid Theory is the style of music they like to make, so obviously they wouldn't want to change too much.
haha this question cracked me up What do you mean: "Should they have changed their style?" You mean completely? Of course not. If you mean sligtly - yes everybody changes - so did [LP]. They can't remain the same. They've changed in comparison with HT. And another thing: what are you trying to say with answer N3 ?! "In a way yes, but also no" ......... "Yes" what "Yes" and in what way "No" ? My vote: null
Personally, I'm fine with their style. However, musically Brad and Phoenix need to step it up for the next album. The vocals were fine and Rob really improved as a musician from last album, but Phoenix's basslines (other than SIB, Easier To Run, and parts of Numb) basically followed the guitar riffs and were not there when they had samples in the song. That is just a really subpar job. And Brad needs to do a bit more than powerchords. Sorry for the criticism, but if you compare them to the likes of other rock bands out there, they really need to catch up when it comes to bass and lead guitar parts, which I find lacking.
I think that in a way, they did change a bit. They sound more confident now and although it was weird at first, Mike's low voice has probably, by now, become a part of the norm.
The last album? Do you mean the previous one? Or are you implying the next Linkin Park album will be their last? I hope you're not implying that.
I think with Meteora LP have *evolved* their style, rather than changed it. And I'm more than happy with that. As someone said, their style is what makes them Linkin Park, and considering Meteora is only their second album I say they did a bang up job. Meteora is much fuller musically, less edgy but harder and more mature and developed than Hybrid Theory. It's a subtle and natural progression that absolutely works for me. I would hate for LP to radically alter their style just so they won't be accused of sounding the same.
