Yeah, so a goalkeeper for a team in what us Americans like to call "Soccer", but it's really Football, got a flare thrown at him by a fan of the other team. Apparently he has first degree burns now. I was talking to an English friend of mine, and apparently they've had worse things happen, like riots and whatnot. Disgusting. view from behind two players of the burning field
LMAO. Sorry, I'm an ignorant bastard. That would really suck to get hit by a flare, I hope he isn't blinded or something. This is even worse the the Ron Artest incident.
I just seen it on the news, And they were clearing up all the remains and whatnot, My dad was saying that its really traditional between they two teams especially, I dont think thats an excuse for that kinda behaviour though, I hope Dida is ok hes a real good player.
When clubs can stand for their players beating each other up on pitch, you can never, EVER expect fans to behave. Yeah, I know fighting isn't quite the same as throwing flares onto the pitch, but I still have a valid point.
Soccer Hooligans are a major problem in Europe, especially in England. I'm not sure, but there was a quarter-final match between Juventus and some English team; tons of fans came to promote unity and peace between fans of both teams. About 20 years ago, Juventus and the other team played a match where the fans started fighting each other; the stands eventually collapsed and over 20 people died. Pretty sad.
im not particualrly concern with AC Milan bcoz i follow Inter but.....hooliganism has really spread throughout europe and after all you kind of expect this thing to happen in a local derby..............................
I'll say what I said when I read this in the paper this morning "Crazy Europeans and their crazy football"
