Now that we have another album to consider, I'm always curious to hear what people smarter than me about drums think....what would you say defines Rob's drumming? If he has a signature, it seems like it's fast snare work in sections before a chorus or explosion (in a way that's different than a typical snare build up). Battle Symphony, Invisible, GATS, KTTK, UIG, IMR, HHH, TLTGYA, it's everywhere. That's about all I can notice. I feel like it's pretty diverse, and of course a lot of beats are probably just straight from Mike's pro tools demo, maybe just recorded on a real kit. But I still think there's stuff to be talked about.

I'd say his drumming is pretty much all over the place at this point because of how diverse and different each album is for the band. I don't think he really has one specific style. His drumming during ''In Pieces'' off of Minutes To Midnight always stuck out to me, the shit he is doing towards the end of the song (starting with guitar solo) is just bananas, and I loved the natural sound of the drums there.

A lot of times he is actually playing drums when it sounds like a drum loop or sampler. He is more about snares than anything else imo. I used to play drums but quit because I was more interested in guitar. I honestly don't know much. He keeps it really simple with the bass drum. I think he's always used Gretsch drums.
