If there was another thread, sorry, I'm too lazy to search through 20 pages.

    ---

For those of you who don't know, Death is a late 80's-90's metal band that singlehandedly invented the death metal genre. They are defunct, after the passing of frontman/guitarist Chuck Schuldiner due to brain cancer 6 years ago. My favourite song by them is probably Lack of Comprehension.

    My favourite albums are:

    Scream Bloody Gore
    Leprosy
Individual Thought Patterns (which also happened to feature Gene Hoglan on drums)

Human and Symbolic were also very good albums.

    anyways, your opinions?

Wait, so the term 'Death Metal' really did come from Death? I read somewhere that it didn't...

If it wasn't invented, it certainly was heavily influenced/popularized by Death. If your source said Cannibal Corpse, I will shit myself.

$10 says because of the drumming.
