What do you think about death, and what you think that happens when someone dies?

Personally, I believe in some sort of heaven. Death of the body is inevitable, but I think something from us all lives on. I don't fear death, I think fearing death is like fearing your own birth; it's nothing you can control, and when it happens, it happens, so why worry? Sure there's recklessness with one's life, but you get what I mean.

You get buried under the ground, and that's it. If there was no such thing as death, humanity wouldn't evolve. The world would become overcrowded, so in a sense, death is a good thing.

What Neil said is true. Plus once you die, your body decomposes and helps the soil so things can grow. Yay for death! :D (And I'm not trying to disturb anybody with that, so I'm sorry in advance if I upset anyone.)

I don't think it is possible to have an opinion about death. I mean, it's a fact of life, everybody will try it one day or another... As to what there is after death, I won't go on that track 'cause it's gonna turn in an all beliefs/religion war.

I believe that you either just die, that's it, or you go on to something else. Either some other pathetic form of existence or you may enter those pearly gates. Although heaven can not be as perfect as people make it out to be. Nobody can achieve perfection.

No body can achieve perfection, but if all our needs and desires are derived from temptation of the body, can soul be perfect in an after-life?

Personally, I don't get why everyone is so afraid of death. Yeah it might seem unfair or whatever at the time, but you have to realize that we're all going to die sometime anyways. I myself believe in re-encarnation (sp?) and if you die unexpectedly in this life, it means your next one has bigger plans for you. I don't believe someone is actually gone either. Their spirit could be very much alive for all you know. I also believe in ghosts staying on earth to finish unsettled buisiness. Ah I'll stop before I start to ramble :teehee:

I'm catholic and believe that death is not to be feared, because if I'm good, I'll go with Jesus, then concluding that only bad people believe in death, because they are afraid of hell (btw, is hell a swearing in English? Because we don't have any swearing for hell or damn in Spanish...)

But I also know that most of you (if not all) aren't gonna conclude with me, so I have to say that fearing death is stupid, is inevitable for us to die, because life is composed of 4 basic and primary elements: birth, growth, reproduction, and, of course, death...

"Do you hear that, Mr. Anderson? That is the sound of inevitability..."

Death is death. There's nothing afterward.

Unless someone revives Walt Disney and he proves us wrong.

I live by this quote so I think this applies:

"Bottom line is, even if you see 'em coming, you're not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So what are we, helpless? Puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are."

    That would rock.

Um, I agree with Will that death is just death and that's it. It's sad, and I'd certainly like it if reincarnation happened, but I'd also like it if there were cookies in the cupboard, and unfortunetly there aren't at the moment.

I also agree with Link that there is no point in fearing death. Sure, you can take some precautions, but if a phsycopath murder wants to shoot you in the back while you're out shopping there's not a damn thing you can do about it.

I don't fear death, no one should. I'd like to think we are here for a reason, and life has a meaning and when we die we will find out, but alas, it's never gonna happen until we die so there's not much more to say.

Honestly, I truly hope there is something after death, just because lying in a pile of dirt for eternity sounds pretty boring. I don't think there is an 'afterlife', but it sure sounds cool :p

Nada. It's a place for making up for all the sleep you've lost staying up all night doing chem homework in high school.

Death is just what happens, it's inevitable, so the only thing to do while you are alive is to have fun!

I don't fear death. I believe that when you are dead, there is nothing. No heaven, hell, or anything. It's like you are sleeping and don't know that the time period existed...only the time period is forever.
