My favorite has to be either Pss Pss or Inanimate Sensation. I may be biased because Inanimate Sensation is the first DG song I ever heard (long before the album was released/leaked, I assure you).

I included a YouTube comment in my review, and I'll copy it here as well: “Reminds me of the first time I heard Death Grips. [I c]ouldn’t tell if it was really terrible, or a work of genius.”

I think they are terrible and pretentious.

I can get the terrible part, that's subjective, but pretentious?

Loving many of the tracks on the The Powers That B but The Money Store is still my favorite album from them overall.

Writing your album name on your dick and using that as the album cover is not pretentious at all.

Also wtf:

Music is the only thing that matters. Not covers, not videos or anything. In my opinion, shit like Wu Tang trying to sell an album for a million bucks is way more pretentious than screwing over your label countless times, releasing 80% of your music for free (I'm not even making this up - plus you can stream the two "paid" albums from their YouTube in full for free, so they have everything for free) and so on. "I Break Mirrors" isn't even their weirdest video or something. Their videos are not meant to be particularly amazing, they're more about capturing the feel of the song. Best example would be the fact the entire Government Plates album was released for free with 11 music videos accompanying it. For example:

Not an eye-opening, perfectly scripted video, and it's not supposed to be. But it captures what you feel like during that first listen perfectly.

The transition from N***** (are you happy, Kevin?) on the Moon to Jenny Death is one of the best things ever. Love how all the electronic, psychedelic feel of the first part of the album is completely cut off by the first second of the second part. You just know you're going into 50 minutes of fucking violence.

I agree,
I just wish the lyrics were a little more cohesive.

It's interesting you say that. I said this in my review, but I actually felt like it was a really seamless transition; I hardly noticed that we'd changed from NOTM to Jenny Death until I got to Inanimate Sensation.

Just orderd my vinyl copy of The Powers That B! :CUMULUS: I haven't actually heard it in full yet, but I've heard enough from both records to realize that I'm going to really fucking like it. Luckly, the order comes with a digital copy on release date, since the vinyl won't ship out until May. Can't fucking wait to hear the full double album.

Why shouldn't it? It's all part of their package. You can interpret their videos and album art to align with your love for the group but to me, a non-fan, it comes off as really pretentious.

Also, I find their music to be terrible as well so there's that.

PS. That Wu-Tang stunt was also extremely stupid.

I can barely fathom this.

That "ni**as on the moon" glitchy-ness, that "Jenny Death" agression, those "Exmilitary" vocals... fucking hell. And some really fucking interesting lyrics there.

The first minute is some of the wildest shit Death Grips has ever done.

I love how the track incorporates so much stuff they've done already and feels brand fucking new.

It's like a glitchy, noisy electronic version of a Punk song. It's fucking crazy man. The hype for Bottomless Pit is REAL.

The new track almost sounds like a mix of everything they have done so far with a slightly more "glitchy punk" approach.
Especially the "blah blah blah/blow blow blow" part almost sounds like MC Ride doing a parody of himself(which is most likely the case - feeding the memes).
It's batshit crazy.
