I liked the guitar solo towards the end. At least it has me interested in hearing what's to come next.
The band have performed the song on Letterman.
I was about to say that there should be a 5th era but that last sentence makes it all ok. Perfect descriptions I would say.
The official music video for "Black Sun" dropped earlier this week. Warning: super slow-mo. And yes, it does have the band in it, Ben shows up first at 1:32.
Ah, I don't know, it's quite random. I know there are people here who cringe at every new Linkin Park video having slow motion in it, so I just put that there. I wasn't being all that serious
Love it! Almost seems too short though. https://m.soundcloud.com/deathcabforcutie/death-cab-for-cutie-no-room-in-frame
I totally get it. You liked Black Sun so you'll like this one more I think. Electronics building into the full band. Gorgeous upfront guitar. I didn't realize it was the opener. The way it leaves off makes more sense now. It's a nice driving song rhythmically without being really "uptempo".
The third track on the album, "Ghosts of Beverly Drive", has been released. It's pretty great! Continues on the vibe of "Black Sun", but this one is much more upbeat and the chorus is really catchy. I'm totally digging what Death Cab seem to have went for with Kintsugi. EDIT: Ugh, it's so good!
https://soundcloud.com/deathcabforcutie/death-cab-for-cutie-little-wanderer/s-gUOBy I'm sure most have already heard the 4th song that has been released for like a week now, but there hasn't been a post in this thread for almost two weeks. I'm just hearing it now though, I think it's great. I haven't heard the other three songs, but if they're as good as this one then I'm really excited for this album. I really liked their past few albums, so this should be great.
Album released a week early: http://www.npr.org/2015/03/22/393583853/first-listen-death-cab-for-cutie-kintsugi
