    literally.....

"Invincible" was premiered and I was excited about the new album. amongst all of the negative feedback presented for the single, I was optimistic and it grew on me and eventually became a favorite song of mine. yesterday, I listened to the CD and I just have to say...."what happened to crossfade?" the CD leaked just a half hour before I was off to my birthday celebrations and even on the drive there, the CD did not hit me once, except for "Invincible". I was with my girlfriend and my brother who is an absolutely huge Crossfade fan, and even HE was disappointed and we changed the CD out as soon as we were done with it, we couldn't even stomach but 1.5-2 minutes of each song. this sounds nothing like the "old" Crossfade. I will give it another try later on and maybe it just has to grow on me, but who has heard the album and what are your opinions on it? I always try to see the positive light of things, but something is blocking that ray right now.

I wish Crossfade the best of luck with this album. but I give the album a 2/5.

At least every song wasn't a ballad like we promised

But my opinions are basically the same. There are a couple good songs but most of the songs feel like they just end prematurely and some songs when you think that it's going to get good, it starts sucking. Maybe they should've thought twice before firing the DJ guy because it seemed like they could've used his help instead of removing him for a more rock sound. Least they had the money this time for swear words, haha.

lol. I always wondered if I had unknowingly bought an edited CD whenever I listened to the self-titled album, but then I later found out they only had one kind produced, lol.

as I listen to this album again, it slowly is growing on me and it doesn't seem AS terrible as I made it out to be. they are talented artists, but I don't believe they used it to their best ability. did Don Gilmore produce this record? lol.

I guess it's just going to take me a few more listens before it really hits me and I have to get out my slump and put their first album to the back of my mind and welcome their "new" sound.
