Creed, why are they hated so much?

This board seems to hate them, i personaly love them, their lyrics in some cases are genius. Live they sing just like on the cd, but dont do anything but stand there i quess. any way, why yall hate em so much?

 

i dont hate them, i have only heard their singles, and i like most of them, i hope they release something new soon

 

I don't like their style of music, too Christian-rock.

 

I personally like them because the guitar parts on some of the songs are so much fun to play

 

I only remember the fan lawsuit against them because of their crappy live

 

I dont like them at all...personally their music annoys me, the lyrics are great but that guy's voice is annoying to me

 

Creed is one of the greatest bands of the past 10 years. They got screwed over because their record label forced them to release the singles that they did. Creed never wanted any of the singles that were released to ever be singles. "Higher," "With Arms Wide Open," "My Sacrifice," "One Last Breath" — none of those songs were supposed to be singles but their label forced it. That's what ruined Creed, basically.

I love Creed. I own all their CDs. They're supposed to be coming out with a compilation/DVD in the Fall, and then a new album in the Spring.

Don't like 'em but I don't hate them. That one song of their's is ok..

"So I held my head up high..." ...you know which one I'm talking about.

 

Creed is a really good band. I don't see why all that bashing... Must be the trend-setters/trend-followers principle striking again.

One Last Breath was amazing .

I remember in the past that a lot of Pearl Jam fans hated on Creed because Scott Stapps voice is similar to Eddie Vedder's. As if Creed was trying to copy Pearl Jam or something. I don't really know the full story there but if you listen to Creed and Pearl Jam, there is similarity in their voices. Maybe that's a portion of why they are hated by people. :wth:

...What are you talking about? Have you listened to the lyrics, seen the album art, or even recognized the name "Creed." Creed is straight from the Bible.

 

I like Creed, but man are they overplayed. I must have heard Higher like 3000 times on the radio over one summer.
