anyone know about software here, right basically i just bought a creative zen micro 6gb, and when i run the disk, it just comes up with that stupid error report message. i dunno if its my computer of the disk, or anything else, i mean my computer furfills all the requirements and stuff. anyone got any ideas?
I just ran the same things and it works for me. Do you have windows XP? Also, did you plug in the Zen before your installed the software?
Is the disk dirty?? because maybe your cd drive cant reaad it. or, is the cd drive lens dirty? it might not be able to read it either. and you do you have miminum system orequirements? other then that, you need to ask members with more extensive knowlage.
No, don't plug it in, it says not to in the book. Can your drive read other CDs fine? EDIT: Also, if you have access to another computer, try seeing if the disc will work in there. Just trying to isolate the problem.
yeh thats what i thought, what do you mean the other cds? if you mean another random cd they work, coz i had to fix windows media player first, so it can play music cds, so it aint the lense Edit: o ok, yeh it can read other cds, and im going to hopefully try it on my neighbours computer when he comes online.
Okay. Sorry I'm not of much help. For me it just worked instantly. Same with the Creative Zen Touch CD. Post back after you test it out on your neighbours computer.
sorry for double post, i fixed it, i saw something on the Creative website about not installing (and loads of other stuff), and thought, that might be it, it was some problem with the version of quicktime i have or something, but i had the version the had so i had to change some file name thanks for all your help anyway esaul17 and maverik68, twas much appreciated
something similar happened to me a lot when I had my Zen Touch. Basically, many times when I would connect the Zen, the MediaSource would display an error message saying that it wasn't connected.
this has nothing to do with installation but when i come to download music to my Zen Micro i sometimes takes two or three times to connect. like i plug it in and the cmputer doesnr recognise it untill say the third atempt
USB? This is USB/Windows being USB/Windows. I'm gonna assume you're on WinXP, so it's not that bad, but if you were on Win98, you'd be screwed @mathew51b: If the software is just meant to help you load music onto the player, you should be able to do without it if it's a USB connection. Windows will read it as a USB drive/mass storage device, and you can shoot MP3s over onto it from Windows Explorer itself. I have to do this, because somehow my Rio Music Manager got corrupted (along with most other things, it's reformat time), and it won't open at all. Hope that helps.
yeh thats how i did it on my old mp3 player (a really cheap one with no software), but now i got it on and it all works fine so yeh
Must be their flash-based players only, as my Nitrus didn't allow me to do that. =\ Glenn - Amen to that.
well its the actual program that just doesent work. what happens is i go to load it and that error report message comes up before it loads. i tried uninstalling it and installing it, doing repairs, everything, its probably because my computer doesent like quicktime at all, it wont uninstall but programs say it not installed, anyway, i dont need it so i dont really carel.
