I'd say mewithoutYou, but then I don't know if saying some pretty good poetry over some background music is creative.

What do you mean by "that style"? Rap-rock? Because LP certainly didn't start that.

When "Creative" comes to mind i think:

    System of a Down
    Godflesh
God lives underwater (They sound a lot like Marilyn Manson)
    Slipknot
Norma Jean (from Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child, not this new crap)

And to quote a Hybrid Theory song:

"Rock and hip-hop have collaborated for years"

    I forgot, Coheed and Cambria.

I surprised no one else listed them yet.

I disagree. While I won't say Joe is a bad DJ (I love Cure for the Itch, or at least I did last time I listened to it) I don't think there would be a huge gap in LP songs if he suddenly disapeared. LP is much more of a guitar-driven band.

And way different? Nah, not really. Maybe it's just me, but I think LP sounds like a nu-metal band that happens to have a rapper and a DJ, but at the end of the day it's still a nu-metal band. It's like taking a statue and putting a hat on it--in some cases it'll look like a whole new piece of art, but most of the time it just looks like a statue with a hat on it.

For all of the guitar in the CDs, Brad doesn't really do much, besides a few whole note power chords and harmonics here and there during the verses.

I think that if Hahn left that I would have no respect for LP...I think he's the biggest creative force behind the band and should get much more say and much more playing room on the next CD.

    The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
    Incubus
    The Mars Volta
    Circa Survive
    Coheed & Cambria
Hot Hot Heat (I doubt anyone will agree with me, I seem to be one of the only HHH fans on this board.)
Weezer (At least during the "Pinkerton" era. Their newer stuff isnt so original)
The Cure (Still creative after all these years...)

Yay! I feel slightly less alone in my love for Hot Hot Heat now...

I still havent bought their new album, Elevator but Make Up The Breakdown and Scenes 1 through 13 are awesome.

I wasn't trying to say Joe isn't talented, just that what he's done (DJ-wise) thus far doesn't make LP stand out as a creative or unique band, overall. At the end of the day the bulk of the music is still those power chords, you know?
