Has anyone heard of or used this site before? It's a site mainly for free classified ads (jobs, personals, for sale/wanted, etc.) and has a forum section on it too. I stumbled upon this site a few days ago while searching for jobs in my area. A couple of ads have sparked my interest but I'm a little apprehensive to send my resume and personal information through because I'm not quite sure how safe and reliable it is. So I'm just wondering if anyone here has used it and had any luck with it. Main site: http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites.html What I'm looking at in my area: http://delaware.craigslist.org/ofc/ I think maybe I'm turned off because of how unprofessional the site is compared to other sites like careerbuilder.com or monster.com, which is why I'm not sure what to do. Any advice or comments are appreciated.
Craigslist is kind of a little risky from the experiences I've had browsing it in the past. It just seems to be full of seedy people, although there's also some good people on there so I'd proceed at your own discretion. To me, Careerbuilder, Monster or your Newspaper's local classifieds are the best places to search for jobs. It's better to go through there than Kelly Services. In all honestly, they are the WORST temp agency around. We have them in PA, and they are absolutely terrible. I've heard nothing but bad things about them. So stick to job sites, and newspaper classifieds. If there's one thing craiglist IS good for it's laughs. Search for 'best of' on that site. Very humorous.
