So I hear Korn is doing a huge, ampitheatre like tour that is currently untitled (Kornfest?). They are going to have two stages and said they want four bands on the mainstage and 4 or 5 on a side stage...The tour is slated to kick off late August/early September The Deftones and Flyleaf are already on the bill. But wouldn't it be awesome if Korn invited Linkin Park to open up for them and maybe Tool as well? That would be the perfect line-up besides maybe no Metallica. It would also give Lp a great comeback and they could go into this tour right after the summer sonic festival, which is August 12-13. What do you think?
Even though it would be a great boost for Linkin Park, they're making an album right now. Such a tour would probably take possible recording days off of their album. They need to focus on that, not touring yet.
I can't see them opening for Korn. If anything, they'll have their own small venue tour to promote the album before it comes out, then head out by themselves on a big headlining tour.
Right, but theoretically they'll have the music completed by then, even though the album probably won't be out yet.
I think they'll just jump aboard on some other tour right after the third album is released, do a couple shows overseas, and then come back and do Projekt Revolution 2007.
