Well they take a pick, and hold it between their thumb and index finder, and bring it across the strings in a smooth and orderly fashion.

Yeah. Or they drop it down to D flat tuning. I usually use that when playing Linkin Park songs. And I personally think that the only songs that Linkin Park has made that are interesting to play on guitar are Points of Authority and Lying From You. No one really needs to know how Linkin Park plays guitar.
wow! i dident know that u learn a new thing every day [/b][/quote] You asked. Brad uses distortion and, drop Db tuning. It also depends on what kind of amplifier, pedals, pickups and guitar he uses.
i don't know what has been agreed on but for almost everysong he uses drop d and then every string down another half step. equipment wise he uses a prs custom 24, ibanez rg prestige series 7-string, mesa boogie dual rectifier heads (that is an amp and where he gets his distortion from) in meteora i am pretty sure he recorded with a marshall 1969 100 watt super lead head, but in performance he might be using a jcm-2000. also uses boss distortion pedal, notably the dd-6 digital delay and ch-1 super chorus, also uses d'addario strings. U also gotta remember that he does a lot of layering on the guitar so it is hard to get an exact sound
Yeah, look at MariosLP's posts, and then look at my post right above yours...I said the exact same thing.
