Coldplay's new record is being titled: X&Y. It is scheduled to hit shelves on June 6 internationally by Parlophone and June 7 in the United States through Capitol Records. The first single is "Speed of Sound" and should hit radio on April 18th.
I'm very happy about this news. I've just started to get into Coldplay and their second album is already pretty good from what I've heard on Amazon.
The only time I've ever cared about Coldplay or one of their songs is when Danny Lohner covered "The Scientist".
Nice, Coldplay has really matured with their musical sound, I am sure they will lay down another great album.
I like their music, it's awesome! Especially love "God put a smile upon your face"!! It's the best...
Chris Martin stills says this may be their last, as it took the band a record-breaking 18 months to put this album together. Personally, I was disappointed with Rush, a good follow-up, but nowhere near as unique as Parachutes. If X + Y follows a similar chord, it might be best they stop.
Parachutes was a REALLY good ablum as a whole. But ROBTTH had some GREAT tracks....both great, but I suppose I like Parachutes better as well.....I hope Chris plays some more great piano on this.
