Coheed and Cambria is my favorite band. Claudio's voice and hair just totally owns. The best song by them is Al the Killer, but Devil in Jersy City, Everything Evil, Hearshot Kid Disaster, Neverender, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, Cuts Marked in the March of Men, The Crowing, Three Evils (Embodied by love and Shadows) and The Light And the Glass... Coheed and Cambria are mainstream now, cause of A Favor House Atlantic, and I hate that, cause that is really Popish...
Don't get me wrong I love Coheed and Cambria, but to be completly honest after litsening to there songs so long the vocalist's voice can get really annoying, to me at least...
I have Second Stage Turbine and Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, Coheed sounded like a really dumb band from just hearing "A Favor House Atlantic" but some of the songs sound pretty dark/satanic. I love Coheed.
I haven't really listened to any of their music. I've only heard two songs by them.. and well I mean they're ok and everything but I don't like them much. Do they happen to scream on any of their other songs?
holy rule-breaking batman! http://www.lpassociation.com/forums/index....&f=87&t=6492&s= you're not getting warned, but keep that rule in mind so you don't get warned in the future
I like the lyrics of A Favor House Atlantic, but the voice just turns me off. They're in my big book of stuff that dont suck.
They scream on a majority of their songs
Ooo.. can you give the names of the songs you think are really good? .. I shall check 'em out.
They are freaking awesome live, I've seen them. I don't buy the whole pro emo stuff, but their music is a lot better than most emo bands, they rise a little above bands like taking back sunday and Dashboard
i dont know them, but im going to a festival in 2 days and they'll play there as well. so i shall see
Ooo.. can you give the names of the songs you think are really good? .. I shall check 'em out.
I left a list up when I first posted them... but not all of them scream. These are the songs that scream that I like: Devil in Jersey City, Everything Evil, Hearshot Kid Disaster, Neverender, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, Three Evils, Al the Killer... also, Junesong Provision (electric version) is good also. I think it screams, but I'm not positive.
I personally think they deserve the sucess. They're a very unique and talented band. I started listening to them a little over a year ago when my friend bought the Warped 2003 compilation which as Delirium Trigger on it. To this day I think it's still my favorite song by them, alongside Time Consumer, A Favour House Atlantic, Hearshot Kid Disastor and Three Evils. Overall I prefer the first album, although they both kick ass. They're an amazing live band too. Claudio has a very powerful voice.
I like The Mars Volta better than Coheed, but they're ok. I didn't like them at Warped tour, but maybe that was just because I got killed during their show.
According to my sources (my radio station): The story behind Coheed and Cambria is that the name of the band is actually a couple...who are trying to kill off their kids...and that they have managed to kill 3 out of 4 kids. Hehe. And you wonder why most of the songs sound dark and satanic :chemist:
Their songs are all based on a series of graphic novels Claudio is co-writing featuring Coheed & Cambria. I had a bunch of links to stuff on the band's offical message board here, but I don't know if that counts as spam or not so I removed them. Claudio has said a lot about the story in various interviews, as well as in posts on the band's official message board, so if you want to find out more it's quite easy... One of the graphic novels was supposed to be out in time for Coheed's dates on Warped, but I'm not sure if that actually happened or not.
The singer has such a light voice - he sounds weird. I guess they're okay, but I'm not much of a fan.

I love Coheed. I think that Claudio's voice is amazing. People either love it or hate it. There is no in between. The story is really confusing. I'm still waiting for the SSTB comic to come in the mail.
