Now that the album has leaked, what are your guys' thoughts if you've downloaded it?

Personally, I feel it wraps up the story of Coheed and Cambria quite well and musically, it's a well-balanced machine. Nothing really hits quite as epic as Welcome Home but there are songs on the CD that give me that same feeling. I also really love the callbacks to some of their older songs, including ending the CD with a callback to the solo from The Final Cut (one of the best songs written in the past 10 years IMO).

Favorite Tracks: No World for Tomorrow, Mother Superior, Gravemakers and Gunslingers, Justice in Murder, The Road and the Damned, and On the Brink

I love each song on the album, but I feel let down with On the Brink in terms of ending the entire story. Chanting "HELL HELL HELL" for 2 minutes straight followed by a Final Cut reprise just feels like an anti-climax to me. I'm kinda hoping there's a hidden track on the CD that wasn't included on the leak.

The chant does get annoying after about the first 5 times. It's over-the-top.

I really really really like this album, a whole lot. C&C is awesome.
Poor Josh, he shoulda stayed the little drummer boy... lol.

I dunno. In my opinion, I'd place them:

GA: Vol. 2, IKSSE: 3, GA: Vol. 1, and then SSTB.

    No World for Tomorrow

Coheed & Cambria's new album is easily the album of the year. It's such an awesome album. I can't figure out how they deliver time after time, album after album.

My favorite songs are "No World for Tomorrow" and "Gravemakers and Gunslingers."

I think I should give his voice more of a chance because it seems they're pretty brilliant.

I just don't seem to get used to his voice.

I hated them for the longest time solely because of Claudio's voice. It took me a long time to overlook his voice and concentrate on the music. Once I realized how good the music was it was easier for me to appreciate his voice because it definitely matches the story he's telling and the music itself.

Claudio's voice has come so far since their first album, I listen to Second Stage Turbine Blade and can hardly believe it's the same person. I love the raspy, soulful way he sings the first part of On the Brink.

Seriously, I started out the same way. I was so turned off on them because I though A Favor House Atlantic was a terrible song but then I listened to all of IKSSE:3 and loved it and now A Favor House Atlantic is one of my favorite songs.

This band is one you need to give a few chances to get used to, because on first listen you really don't get how musically talented the entire band is.

Yes, I'm going to give it time, but I'm sure they've grown on me already because I didn't really mind his voice when I watched a few of their videos.

I finally gave this CD some repeated listens and for one thing, like was mentioned earlier - I think it's awesome that for this album there are all these references to past songs, like in "No World for Tomorrow" with the line 'what did I do to deserve?', then in The End Complete with phrases like "the Suffering" and "Welcome Home", and I got goosebumps near the end because the closing theme sounded like a variation of 'The Crowing'. Then of course, The Final Cut being worked into On the Brink. Those were the ones I noticed. I'm totally geeky for stuff like that.

But I've been listening to this band for 4 or 5 years already now, and this album already has me going back to their past releases. Being in Co&Ca mode again feels great. Really looking forward to what they do for Part 1. Hope I can see these guys live someday.
